Twitter showcased the concept of two new features, the first allowing tweeting only to a limited number of users chosen as close friends. The second approves establishing facets within the same profile to talk about different topics only to certainly interested followers.
The new functions were announced through the account of @a_dsgnr, designer on the platform. The options are intended to control who can see the user’s tweets. In this way, your posts will not appear to all followers as before.
To do this, the close friend’s feature makes it possible for users to tweet only to a small number of followers they have chosen. This option could be chosen at the time of posting.
This concept of Twitter also includes that the publications of close friends are highlighted in the timeline of the social network.
The platform also showed another function for people who want to distinguish between tweets with different contexts, either with friends and family, either work or public.
In this way, each account can have different facets, thus giving the possibility that people can follow the entire account or only the facet in which they are interested. Some could be public and others private.
At the moment the functions are not being developed, but the Twitter designer showed the concepts to know the opinion of the users of the platform.
